| After creation of a database starting with a
non-alpha character, a message will appear that your database name does not
exist or is not a valid database. You will subsequently not be able to
access the new database. See Database Dependency for more information
on errors. Do not name your databases to start with a number or contains
any other character that is not a letter from A to Z. ( / * & # @ etc)
Example: A database named 0002st.mdb, will cause an internal error within
the Flow Consultant where 0002st.mdb is interpreted as 2.mdb.
The new database 2.mdb will not exist as a valid database on the current
machine and the error will occur.
Network Users Note: If
you are storing databases on your network and find your name becomes
truncated, consult your network support staff about use of long filenames on
your network. Some existing networks only allow an 8 character file
name with a 3 character extension. |
